“Sunrise Pioneer” was the name given to the Detroit couple that purchased the first home in Sunrise Intracoastal in July of 1952. Located behind the Galleria Mall, the grand piano shaped peninsula was just mangroves prior to 1952. The community has about 200 residences with several waterfront lots which surround the community. Most of the homes have pools and are perfectly manicured showing true pride of ownership.
Asides being a gated community with a secluded entrance, Sunrise Intracoastal feature underground utilities which makes it more contemporary among other Fort Lauderdale neighborhoods. Another perk for the residents of Sunrise Intracoastal is the proximity to the Galleria Mall which features exclusive shops, department stores, spa, and restaurants.
